Favorite/least favorite Christmas

Favorite: The title escapes me now, but it is instrumental with a choir & was once used in a General Electric commercial. Sort of like that one by the Trans Siberian Orchestra, frequently played on the radio. Least favorite: Burl Ives' "Have a holly jolly Christmas" and ANYTHING by the Carpenters. Now I like the Peanuts instrumental, but it drives a friend crazy, and one I'm kind of neutral on, guess I don't pay it enough attention to form an opinion on, is "Silent Night" by Stevie Nicks. I had to laugh, tho, when the same friend said Miss Nicks "sounds like a goat on this one, Spongebob, I feel as if I should feed her a tin can."

My fave Christmas songs are anything by Josh Groban and just Christmas music in general. Not much I don't like. The Carpenters are great tool.

Another fave that rarely gets airplay: the Beach Boys' "Merry Christmas Baby". Radio stations tend to ignore that one in favor of their "Merry Christmas Santa". I've been playing the former on youtube several times today, I love that song!

I like the older stuff, bing crosby, nat king cole etc. I know it sounds really ba humbug, but i hate anything with those ttacky jingle bells in it, just sounds like a silly thing to put on a record, no matter what time of year it is lol
